I wish more people would realise that even though Christmas Eve/Christmas Day is over, the Holiday season is not over yet. ♥

Shots from a small gig last weekend. They called themselves "Red Ram" but were really just a collection of local artists from other bands (Deep Dark Woods, The Sheepdogs, etc.)

AOL Moviefone has released a list detailing what they believe are the best films of the decade, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban takes 10th place:

Of the movie itself they are quoted as stating that -
" During his third year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) learns that Lord Voldemort's acolyte Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has escaped Azkaban prison with an eye toward making Harry's "Boy That Lived" moniker an overstatement. No worries, Harry's friends Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine Granger (Emma Watson) are on hand to help him sort out the shifting allegiances -- and shapes! -- in a tale where nothing is as it seems. Darker than the first two Potter films, to legions of fans the third installment of J.K. Rowlings' juggernaut may or may not be the best of the bunch; but, really, what Muggle wouldn't enjoy this."

My name is Victoria. I am a transfer student, originally from Alabama but I moved to a school in Northeast Georgia. This is the first time I lived on campus, and so the pictures are from the first few days I was there. The room was moved about 3 times since then but I have no pictures. :[ It looks pretty plain but I was sharing a room with someone so I kept a lot of stuff at home. Next semester I will be here again posting new pictures of my own room and (so far) my own bathroom.
( My Dorm Room )
I also have a question/request. I was wanting to do my poloroids and some fun pictures I found online, hung up with clothespins. It's a dumb question but how do I keep the clothes pins from scrunching together if the string curves down? (I hope someone understands what I am saying.) I was also wanting to see people post pictures if they have the photo-clothespin in their room. Thanks in advance! :]

There's little room for Christmas jollity when you have several series' worth of stories to complete. So how did the Doctor do?

This year's Christmas Doctor Who was never going to pause and sniff the mulled wine. There are stories that need completing, fireworks to set up; the End of Time means No End of Plot. We've had the Ood – I find them harder to take seriously since seeing the cover of Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, but maybe that's just me – prophesying doom. We've had a ghostly Claire Bloom talking in riddles to Bernard Cribbins. We've had the Doctor facing up to death with enough fear in his eyes to make you almost forget about them filming his next incarnation. We've had one very sinister close-up of Timothy Dalton. Most of all, we've had John Simm's Master, brought most of the way back to life with unpredictable new powers and an appetite that has him more or less literally chewing the scenery. And that's before he turns every human on Earth into a copy of himself. It's been a rush.

not that i've really exerted a considerable amount of energy towards finding them. i like my lucky strike blues just fine anyway.
'home' has been playin' on my mind in recent history, not because i'm sick for it but because the word doesn't really exist in french.
the concept, therefore, is not exactly universal, which is a peculiar notion.
this is my hometown ["Madtown, Dairyland"]:

this is where i'm crashing currently [Paris]:

and i like to think i nurse some sort of spiritual connection with this place [Berlin]:

where are you from (originally, currently and spiritually)?

I was recently remembering my friend Sarah, who used to put stickers on practically *everything*. She had one of those huge see-through tabletop Mac's and it was *decked out* in awesome stickers she got at gigs, random New York stores, and what not (cool Azn friends...etc)
So show me your laptops (or cellys). (Hey, a nerd has to get her kicks! And I don't mean Nike's!)

PIC#1: I'm a minimalist, and this Rough Trade sticker, that I got from some cool lesbians in London ('cause I bought Crass's album "Penis Envy") is on my Burberryesque Nokia E63. Sadly, my laptop [a Toshiba sattelite series] is bare (but used to have a ninja turles -specifically Rafael- sticker).
PIC#2: random laptop that I googled

This January, I'm travelling to Stockholm, Oslo, Brussels and Bruges with a friend. In hindsight, it might've been a smarter move to book a trip to Scandinavia during warmer months, but you know what happens when opportunity knocks!
If you live in/have visited the aforementioned cities: Do you have any tips as to what types of clothing/accessories I must pack, amazing(ly cheap) places to eat and drink and other can't-miss things to do and see? This will be my, and my friend's, first time to these cities so our game plan is to arrive and just fly by the seat of our pants!
And so this post isn't simply a travel question, I leave you with a gift I mailed to a friend who is spending the year teaching in Korea:

( Shake it like you mean it )
Thanks for your help!

Gazelle, I killed you
for your skin's exquisite
touch, for how easy it is
to be nailed to a board
weathered raw as white
butcher paper. Last night
I heard my daughter praying
for the meat here at my feet.
You know it wasn't anger
that made me stop my heart
till the hammer fell. Weeks
ago, I broke you as a woman
once shattered me into a song
beneath her weight, before
you slouched into that
grassy hush. But now
I'm tightening lashes,
shaping hide as if around
a ribcage, stretched
like five bowstrings.
Ghosts cannot slip back
inside the body's drum.
You've been seasoned
by wind, dusk & sunlight.
Pressure can make everything
whole again, brass nails
tacked into the ebony wood
your face has been carved
five times. I have to drive
trouble from the valley.
Trouble in the hills.
Trouble on the river
too. There's no kola nut,
palm wine, fish, salt,
or calabash. Kadoom.
Kadoom. Kadoom. Ka-
doooom. Kadoom. Now
I have beaten a song back into you,
rise & walk away like a panther.

Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively is set to star in the new comic book superhero movie, Green Lantern. The 22-year-old blonde star is being lined-up to play the love interest of the main character Hal Jordan - who is played by Ryan Reynolds.
However, Blake reportedly faces stiff competition for the part as Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger and Eva Green are also in the running.
A source said: "Blake would be amazing in this role. She has a busy 2010 promoting The Town, but she would love to play a part in a superhero film."
Green Lantern tells the story of Hal Jordan, an ordinary man chosen by an alien to receive an energy ring that can be used to protect the planet.
Filming is due to begin in 2010, with a rumoured summer 2011 release date.
Martin Cambell, who previously worked on Casino Royale, is to direct the movie, leading some to speculate that former Bond girl Eva may be his choice for the role.

I don't know how reliable the source is, but if this is true, good for her.

Lady GaGa was spotted with a mystery man in a nightclub in Los Angeles and the duo got too cozy to be called “just friends”, reports ContactMusic.
Lady GaGa and her unnamed man were seen partying at the Hyde nightclub at the Staples Center. GaGa was getting very intimate to this man. The couple was spotted in the club’s VIP section.
As reported by E! Online, they had more than seven bottles of champagne. According to one source, “She was in a typical over-the-top get up, this time with silver studs, and her beau was in a jacket that matched the look. They sipped on Veuve (champagne) throughout the night.”
Lady GaGa was previously linked with a businessman named Speedy but the relation didn’t last for long and came to an end in early 2009. Hope this mystery man finds a more concrete place in Lady GaGa’s heart!
Lady GaGa had earlier denied having any romantic link-ups saying that she was busy enough in her world of music to have a partner! May we ask if she is not busy anymore?
Whatever…we wish GaGa a very happy and love-filled new year ahead with her new found love!
